Skunks beaten by Bournemouth.

I think they will win the league cup. They will take that very seriously this season and until they are genuinely competing for bigger prizes.

They are really great if things are going their way, but they become complete tossers if it doesn't turn out how they expected. The press mostly ignores the latter while working themselves into a right frenzy if a few drunk Geordies start singing.
They are not in the same League as the Weeds for getting behind their team when getting stuffed, as much as it makes me sad to to compliment LUFC.

Funny old game footy. Everyone been laughing at Man U, Ten Hag under massive pressure from fans and press and I even heard a toon fan on radio the other week when they beat them say that man u were now irrelevant.

Well man u won, toon lost, looks who's above the toon now.

I genuinely cannot wait until it falls apart under Eddie Howe. His high intensity football cannot continue forever without injuries (we are now seeing this big time) and they seem to pull a rabbit out of the hat every time I see them.

Hopefully out of champions league soon, no league cup and out of top 4. That will do me

I joked to a Geordie mate about the loss, just banter. I was told I was just jealous. Of what? 😄😄

It was only a week ago they beat Arsenal having just thrashed Man. United and Palace. Today was their first league defeat since September 2nd. More than two months ago. Isn’t it amazing, what a few days can do to people.

They’ll always have Paris (St Germain). Because, obviously, that’s the most consequential football match to have taken place in the last 50 years.

I watched their game against Borussia Dortmund this week and was very surprised how poor they were considering the importance. Rabbits in the headlights came to mind!

What? No dodgy VAR decision this week to help them out? Missed out on the hattrick there then.

LookTyne and Geordie TV presenters will be wearing black armbands on Monday night weekend sport spot. The fat lass on BBC, Carol, will be choking back tears cos as she once said on air, "I'm so proud to be a Geordie"

#UTB

“How many injuries?”

I’m sure his teammates will love being thrown under the bus like that.

dont understand it myself the delusion of them. They have been mostly shoite for decades apart from keegans lot and they still won nowt.

Now they have spent half a billion and are crying cos they dont win every week.

I actually like being the underdog sometimes I literally would be bored to tears being a man city fan.

Its a huge relief when we win at home and a great feeling if we manage an away win. Yet Man City and probably soon to be Newcastle par is winning at home by 5 and away by 3. Its not how football should be

We all see how badly Arsenal, Man Utd, and Liverpool fans meltdown when their teams go through a "bad" patch (which is usually no more than a loss or a couple of draws on the bounce). Now times that by 10 when Newcastle get into the habit of actually winning stuff and become genuine title contenders along side city. If/when they reach those heights, the skunk meltdowns when they lose or draw a few will dwarf anything we've ever seen before.

Even the Arabs will wonder WTF have they actually bought. Not good PR for a horrendous regime trying to sportwash its way to acceptability

It'll be epic, and comedy gold.
