Sites for following football scores/live updates

I've had it with the BBC and don't pay a licence fee but can't seem to shake the habit of constantly checking the BBC sport site when games are on.

Does anyone have any alternatives? I've tried Sky Sports for a bit but it's a bit too flashy on the ads.
 
The BBC "as it stands" table is what I've indeed up using. There was a decent one on Sporting Life. Not sure if it's still available.
 
I've always used the Sky Sports Scores app, but they've recently updated it and it doesn't refresh automatically anymore, so it's rubbish now.

LiveScore is still good though, I'd lean towards that.
 
Another one for FlashScore extremely quick at updating and covers lots of sports including Golf, you also get the tee off times in GMT rather than trying to work them out
 
There are loads to choose from but I settled on the 365scores app simply because it shouts 'GOAL!!!' like Alan Partridge every time the Boro score :D
