Clarke doesn't even appear human though.

He's like a scientist in a lab made the most slimy, sterotypical Tory they could imagine, and then removed the backbone before sending him out into the wider population.
 
I have a feeling he will jump ship from East Cleveland and S/E Middlesbrough if he feels the tide is turning. I bet he would love Rishi Sunak's seat and a nice house and office in Richmondshire, rather than working in that run down house on Rectory Lane in Guisborough.

I have never disliked and mistrusted an MP as much as I do Simon Clarke. And with good reason. For weeks doing the TV rounds defending Johnsons indefensible behaviour while ignoring my emails. I'm only one of his constituents that all!

I pray the voters will see through this man and get rid of him at the next election. Sadly. the damage has been done to many already.
 
He strikes me as one of those corporate pole climbers. I'm sure we all know them, absolutely zero critical thinking or ability in any field but can somehow "play the game" leading to promotions.

Having said that, a quick check of his Wikipedia actually has him (a la Raab) as just a failed solicitor.
