Silvera

There is an article in football league world saying he could go on loan, but he might not, but he could.

In other words anything could happen.
So basically someone has guessed it might happen and now it's a rumour?

I doubt Carrick has a view either way at this point. Like for every other player he'll be assessing it in the summer I'm sure.

Surely our Chuba Akpom experience has taught us that there are gems out there well into their mid to late 20’s?
You'd think so wouldn't you? But people like to decide a player is "not good enough for where we want to be" within minutes of them stepping onto the pitch and will cling to that opinion like Kate Winslet clings to a door in the Atlantic Ocean.

Rumour is so vague as to be laughable.

He needs to be playing games regularly in his favoured position out wide. He's ended up being used as our striker option on the bench, which I accept has been because of the injury crisis, but it hasn't done much to aid his development.

Send him out on loan for a season and then look to bring in another low cost development player, who will hopefully prove to be an upgrade on him.

If he does well and Silvera comes back from his loan spell as an improved player, it's win win.

He's shown flashes. Played well in spells, looked League 2 in others. I think he's not the worst we've seen, definitely worth persevering with.

Loan until January with more game time and a "see how things are going" could be sensible 👍

You don’t think we’d get £600,000+?
I honestly don’t know - maybe we may get slightly more, but i meant I’d just like to get rid of him as i don’t think he’ll ever be good enough for the level we really need i.e. a top level championship player who might possibly even be able to make the step up to premiership if we get there

He has all the attributes to make it in the championship and beyond, let’s give him some time.

He’s played around 18 games worth of minutes he needs a lot more than that before we pass judgement I feel.

Absolutely he has to be given an opportunity next season. He’s taken time to settle in but he’s shown in fits and starts that he has the ability to make it. I like him too.

Fair do’s - i just don’t think he’s shown enough to be anywhere near starting for us so maybe a loan to another club is a good idea. I don’t think we have the time to be playing someone regularly on the basis they might come good. If were are serious about promotion next season then we need players who can deliver the goods week in week out and i don’t see the likes of Silvera doing that unfortunately - there’s a few other’s playing quite regularly who also fall into that category.

What’s all this talk of next season? What about this season? 👀

As much as I want him to succeed and players need opportunities. Some of his sitters make him look lower league player and we need players that can try and push us into the prem now or show potential of that

I can’t wait to hear the news he’s gone.
Home, for a fee, on a free, fishing, I honestly don’t care.
Just gone.

Rumour is sending him out on loan next season.Surely we should be getting the best out of him instead of sending him elsewhere.
It's hardly even a rumour. It's an article in Football League World which quotes "fan pundit Dana" as saying, "I don’t think it would be bad for him to be loaned out and to gain experience elsewhere .."

Middleborough urged to sanction Silvera transfer (sic) decision

It's a terrible piece of journalism. Firstly, it's a loan, not a transfer that's being discussed and secondly, only the aforementioned Dana seems to be doing the urging.
