The ‘Rediscovered Voices of Teesside: Memories from the Archives’ newly digitised extracts from oral histories recorded in the 1980s. Each Thursday at 5pm will be make available a short interview as part of Heritage Unlocked’s collaborations with Middlesbrough Council, will focus on a theme in the area’s history and provide a rare opportunity to listen to first-hand accounts of early twentieth century life in the area.

The first recording today is of Sidney Clay’s recollections of life during the Second World War in Middlesbrough.
