Should we have LOCKDOWN when the North-east is the only region where 'R' number is dropping?

The North East is the only part of the country which is close to getting coronavirus under control, England's chief medical officer has warned.

But coronavirus is still spreading even in our region, said Professor Chris Whitty.

Fair enough, it's still spreading, but if our measures are working - does the North East need a total lockdown?

I said I was 50/50 on Capital Punishment - so you are wrong there in your assessment

Secondly I said I would vote for Trump over Biden, but they are both bad candidates

North East Lockdown exemption is a genuine question if our R number is dropping

You do know this is a message board and it's about DISCUSSIONS - people may have a different opinion / view point to yourself

Yes is the answer

Prof Whitty said: "The only part of the country where at the moment I think there there is realistic evidence that the numbers have flattened, where the R is approaching one, is probably in terms of region is the North East. There may be some smaller areas elsewhere. "

Give it a rest. You are one obnoxious git. Constantly looking for confrontation. Grow up
Excuse me... I'm asking a question about why the North East's R number is falling? I don't appreciate being bullied and called names for no reason

If Juninho10 continues in this vein, calling all and sundry idiots, I think his days on here in this guise are numbered. Convinced he is a "character" just looking to stir and is getting ever more so.

Why I have done nothing wrong? I've asked a question about a quote in the Evening Gazette?

You’re not being bullied - just given some home truths. Although probably a little above your intelligence to understand

I would say calling someone you don't know on a public forum 'obnoxious git' is a form of bulling - In fact one could say slander - Again I have asked a question about a quote in the Evening Gazette - that's not against any law I know of

You asked a yes/no question. He responded with Yes. That was his response.
He actually replied with "I am beginning to understand your modus operandi OP. Capital Punishment, Trump (good bloke), North East Lockdown exemption. Pro Life tomorrow? You are not click baiting are you? " - But OK... he's blocked anyway now

It's not slander, insult yes, slander no.

As a matter of interest I am not sure you can defame an anonymous poster because nobody actually knows who you are. It is a comment against "Juninho10" and you have no reputation to damage in the real world. Unless that is of course your professional name and once played football with a number 10 on your back and was called Juninho.

Technically some may say Slander - "the action or crime of making a false spoken statement damaging to a person's reputation. " - I would say a calling me "You are one obnoxious git" is damaging a persons reputation

I believe he should fully apologize - calling someone an "obnoxious git " is not very nice. I was only asking a question
