Should we be judged on our writing skills on a football forum?

My spelling and grammar are absolutely terrible but I somehow got a C grade in GCSE English 23 years ago.
When I am typing I have to make a conscious effort to try get my spelling and grammar correct but I don't find it easy if I am being honest.
For about the past 17 years or more I have read at least one book a week but it still doesn't really make it any easier.
I generally have a good memory but it tends to be better with visual or audio learning, I never forget a face but I'm terrible with names or where I have seen the face, I know what song will come on next on an album, even on mixed USB tapes I have created for the car and every word most of the songs but if you ask me the name of a song or what album it was from I wouldn't be able to tell you.
I can talk about historical events and remember details and tactics from historical battles but I have zero concept of time, for example I will be talking to my Mrs and say something happened a few weeks back and she corrects me that it was 4 or 5 months ago.

I just discovered Grammarly, which is a Google app that helps identify and fix spelling, grammar, and punctuation mistakes.
I have just seen this ap Grammarly by google it sorts out problems u didn't know about

If we all use this ap there will be less mistakes and make the grammar police redundant "I recently discovered Grammarly, which is a Google application that helps identify and fix spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors. I was amazed to see how it can sort out problems that I didn't even know existed. If more people use this application, there will be fewer mistakes, and it could potentially make grammar police redundant."

you seem to have a needless repetition problem as well

hopefully not in my case, my grammar and English is shocking I have tried to improve it and do take time to re-read stuff but I still make lots of mistakes. I often miss words out of sentences, which is not great especially when I used to have to send group emails on technical issues when working in the SW industry as a tech lead, I am not dyslexic but something about my brain does not seem to get English especially writing it!

Doesn't matter how many times I read the rules for them, I always forget how to use semi-colons.

If someone isn't great at writing but you can decipher their meaning then let it go.
If someone reprimands another for their English skills and makes a mistake in their own post (which happens surprisingly often),
give 'em it.

I’ve always wanted the smallest percentage of people to understand my sentences.

I’m a bit of a cnut like that 👀
People adjust the level of difficulty when aiming for a particular target audience.

Also the average number of syllables in words is adjusted. By choosing "easier" to understand words.

Have a look at different newspapers. As an example of this targeted writing.

Interesting.

I worked in the IT industry for around 24 years. For 3 different employers in the UK.

The longest time was with Reuters. I joined them in 1987. Within a month of joining I was sent on an effective writing course. Every person in the company got sent on the course at that time. Irrespective of what your job was.
