Yes I know it’s never going to happen but given the insane turnover of managers they’ve had and how shameful the have treated the ones they have employed.

who in their right mind would work for owners like that.

They have now sacked 4 managers since start of last season.

I guess it depends on how much the sack is worth financially. I can't imagine they leave poor. Just imagine being able to buy a brand new house after being sacked. Thats the real world. Morally I completely agree with you. However, when did morals become the first gate we walk through when it comes to football?

I guess the managers take the job knowing the likelihood that it is relatively short term and that it will almost certainly end in the sack.

I therefore don't believe they feel they've been badly treated when the inevitable happens.

All managers expect to be sacked at some point during their careers; they see it as an occupational hazard, rather than the devastating blow most of us would take it as.

It must be one of the best jobs in football - several years of a lavish salary for a couple of months work. It doesn't even count as failure any more - it goes with the job.

They get paid big$$$ they'll survive

I’d imagine it’s somewhat of an attractive proposition for one of the below reasons (or more likely a combination):

They probably pay the manager a bit more than clubs of similar size.

Or the pay off in the event of being sacked is more generous than clubs of similar size.

They give opportunities to managers who are unlikely to get the job at a club of similar size.

I also don't think being sacked by Watford necessarily harms future career prospects, as most recognise the job is a sacking waiting to happen.

They do what they say on the tin so I'm sure every manager goes there fully aware that it'll happen.
As said, I'm sure it's not financially punishing and given the clubs reputation I doubt it'll be that detrimental to a managers cv.
