Should Boro v Bournemouth be going ahead

As the furthest 2 distances in the championship and one of the longest distances in the league should people really be travelling such distances at this time ?

I’m not making a statement more asking how people feel as this game is directly linking the far north to the far south of this country is that wise at this time????

Whilst there is a remote chance of somebody attending, getting infected and subsequently dying, then no it shouldn’t go ahead, also the easily bypassed rules of producing evidence of negative LFTs is farcical.

As it's on TV my elderly parents have decided they're not taking any risks and not going. I'll probably not bother now but hadn't even considered not going into now. Definitely don't want covid in the run up to Christmas as if like to see family, friends etc.

Yes it should go ahead. No suggestion of covid cases in either side.

I would say fan wise then if anyone has any doubts or worries about infection then don't go. I don't think anyones forced to go if concerned or vunrable.
Yep you could mask up all the way there but end up in a car crash. Personal choice.

Whilst I agree in principle, the key is whether it is proportionate to do so.

Flu kills around a hundred every day during the winter doesn't it? (or at least it defore before the Covid pandemic)

But we havent seen any restrictions placed on us due to that?

The issue at the moment is that we don't know how severe the Omicron variant is, hence there should always be a cautious approach, until such time as we understand the risks more than we currently do.

No reason for it not to, personally I won’t be taking the risk, going on holiday over Christmas so don’t want to loose that having to isolate.

Expect it will be the lowest crowd of the season as people don’t want to risk loosing Christmas Day, but i would guess it might be the last Boro game we see for a while
