Ship badge, love it. Someone somewhere did a modern take on it, which im sure someone can upload, and its class. Erimus on there too isnt a bad shout, like the latin Everton use i wouldn't be against us having that on there but yeah, old badge please the current one's rank.

I voted for all 3 'Yes' options on the basis that all three are better than the outdated and amateur knights of the round table rubbish we have now (not that I have any strong opinions on this issue you understand......)

Agree with this, a modern update on the ship badge, the mock up that was kicking about social media was great.

Even that is enough of a redesign for me, I'd be fine with that.
I just don't like it being pure red lines on the 1986 version.

I'd like to think that someone at the club finally came to their senses and realised that advertising to the world when MFC went belly up wasn't a particularly good look.
Best ask Tony M the original designer of the round lion badge as he is still around. He used to post on this forum in fact. He told me how Chelsea borrowed the whole idea of the badge he redesigned for the club when he was doing the graphics at Dickens. It was very much admired at the time. We changed to a shield because there was the feeling going around that shields were "in" and once again being able to legally say 1876 on the badge it was time for a rebrand.
The circular badges always look better for me. But my guessing is you might have to wait until next year as it might be a bit late for this with kits and all other merch already designed and ordered. But I might be wrong.

The current badge is bloody dreadful, I haven't bought a single item of club merchandise since it came out. The 1986 badge would be my preference but any previous badge or some of the alternatives designed and put on here would be great as well.

The current badge doesn't look too bad on the shirts etc, but on the website and programme, and elsewhere, its got a lighter stripe down the centre of it. I only really noticed it recently and it makes it look a lot worse. Its like someone is shining a light at it.
