It's a god given right according to some of the Americans I know.......and the gun lobby shout that its an essential "freedom" and "liberty" to carry and own fire arms.

Many UK adults wouldn't. Unless you pick stuff up from movies. I can say this as 23 years in the military.I wouldn't have a clue how to fire a gun and load it. Something deeply wrong in that country.
Depends what kind of weapon it was, a pistol for example won’t always have a safety mechanism. It literally is just point and pull the trigger. The scary part is that a 6 year old has actively taken it into school and more so knows how to use it.
I would imagine it will turn out to be his parents weapon. Using a gun isn't as 'simple' as picking it up and pulling the trigger. He must have some knowledge. You see loads of ridiculous videos on YouTube of Americans letting kids shoot guns.
Absolutely madness
It's ridiculously easy to do...and that's why it's dangerous. Many UK adults wouldn't. Unless you pick stuff up from movies. I can say this as 23 years in the military.
It's shocking that a 6 year old can pull a trigger. I'm only hazarding a guess yet I presume it must have been loaded. Those loons probably leave them 'ready' to go.
Yup, I was thinking the same thing. What do you mean coming to? As much of a tragedy it is, this sort of thing sadly happens every day in the USA. It’s the norm over there and has been for as long as I can remember.
