Sheffield United Record Breakers

Probably packing his bags back to villa!! We should put a move in for him, I'm sure we could strike some type of deal with villa.
I highly doubt it now. His wages would be enough to put us off and im sure another lower prem team would have a crack at him

I can't believe how bad the defense is. They're playing with a back 3 and rotating between...

Anel Ahmedhodzic - Jack Robinson - Mason Holgate - Auston Trusty

We've got Matt Clarke - RVDB - Dael Fry - Darragh Lenihan - Paddy McNair

I'm struggling to swap any of their CBs for any of ours.... and we're pretty average.... I'd maybe take Ahmedhodzic at a push? - Definitely not Holgate.

The PL went to 38 games in 96-96. Most goals conceded in a season since then...

01 - 89 - 07/08 - Derby
02 - 85 - 13/14 - Fulham
03 - 84 - 21/22 - Norwich
04 - 82 - 97/97 - Barnsley
04 - 82 - 09/10 - Burnley
04 - 82 - 11/12 - Wolves
07 - 81 - 18/19 - Fulham
08 - 80 - 23/24 - Sheffield Utd

8 games to concede 9+ goals. Easy.

The team that was relegated on the least number of goals conceded was Birmingham in 05/06 - 50 goals.
The team to survive with the most goals conceded was Wigan in 09/10, who finished 16th - 79 goals.

Fulham are the only team to have conceded 80+ goals twice in a 38 game season - in 13/14 (85) and again in 18/19 (81).

I can see a bamford type situation developing.
On the other hand I wouldn't be surprised if villa gave him a shot.
He's a cracking player. Sheff United was always a strange move for him I thought but he has showed glimpses. Both he and Ramsey going where they did was really strange and hurt as a fan wondering what if. Obviously the goal has always got to be Prem but the gulf between even the top 12/13 teams now compared to the teams at the bottom is frightening. I worry we'd go up and just get battered every week.

Sheffield United fans deserve everything they get.
Still haven’t forgotten or forgiven what their scum did at the Riverside a few years ago.
