Without being at the game or being part of the review it's hard to make a judgement but i do find it troubling when fans report genuine fears for their safety that the outcome is "minor recommendations"

Apologies if already posted

I found this hard to believe and would hope the people who speak up for football fans would get involved in this.

My first thought was 'Hillsborough of all places', but then I think, because of that, the review must have been doubly thorough.

Leppings Lane is still awful. Everytime we go I shiver. It hasn't been changed a bit from what I can see. I don't know how they get away with it.

This just gets worse and worse.

After Sheff Wed repeatedly claimed they'd been cleared and there were no problems, it's taken an FOI request from Newcastle to get to the truth.

Tickets were sold for seats that were netted off. Fans were sent through the wrong turnstiles. Stewards were useless and didn't/couldn't help fans avoid the crush. Even the map on the back of the ticket showing the ground layout is wrong.

And the b*****ds at Sheff Wed tried to cover it all up. Again.

Just kick them out the league.

I understand your anger Clay, but that hardly seems fair on the fans. Identify those responsible and take action against them. I know a bunch of Wednesdayites and they are all decent people.

Maybe close off the directors box for Wednesday & make them have to enter & sit in the away end for half a season, see what it is really like & if that will encourage them to sort it out..

Il say again I’m amazed it’s name wasn’t changed and that the main stand destroyed and rebuilt as the safest in the country as an example of what it should be.

I'll say again, the entry into that end is disgraceful and should be redone. The club and council in Sheffield clearly don't care and just blame the age of the ground. How it is still allowed to host games after all those people died is beyond me. It's really like they don't care.

The entrance to the stand from the concourse is like a rat run and reminded me of the passages in the pyramids of Giza
