Schumacher (not that one!) off to Stoke?

My Plymouth supporting mates aren't best pleased, but they can't blame him.

I'm assuming far more cash (thanks Bet365) and a lot closer to his Liverpool roots have swayed it for him.

Stoke are a bit of a graveyard for managers, but on the face of it, that's a good appointment.

Stoke are the championship Chelsea, basket case of a club that’s terribly ran and they know it will end in tears within a year but they are just too greedy to turn down the mega money.

I think Beale will be an excellent appointment for Sunderland, the Rangers job was far too soon for him but I think he will do well at Sunderland.

Looks a big risk for both the club and manager to me, he must be getting a decent wage and a big contract to leave Plymouth who are a club on the up. Then going to Stoke which is going the other way. It is a graveyard for managers previously thought of as decent managers but nothing ever seems to work for them, I thought they could be outside bets for the play offs this year and some points in the season they looked a good team.

Possibly not, same as Nathan Jones before him, but that's probably as much down to Stoke as anything else.

They've not even flirted with the play-offs since coming back down and they've spent a fortune.

Not even a sniff of being near the top 6 and we think we've had it bad since dropping out the Prem. At least we've been in the playoffs or near them
