Good morning FMTTMers, it might to worth making your family and friends aware of a scam text message that is going around about getting support for our ever increasing energy bills. As we are all struggling I think the text could catch some people out.
I received the text overnight and it reads as follows and the sender comes up as 'Bill':
"GOVUK: You are eligible for a discounted energy bill under the Energy Bills Support Scheme. You can apply here: https://discount-support-gov.com"
The BBC had a news item on it a couple of days ago:
