Sad News from Last Night's Game

I follow a lot of US sports so had read some of his articles and was shocked when I saw this last night.

Abel just beat me to it with the accusations from his brother.
 
Tragic.
And terrible that they've won.

No gay rights armbands, tee shirts or any kind of comment from anyone in the media associated with it, and that includes the TV companies and their celebrities.
We wouldn't tolerate that in our society, why have we over there?

Money. It's disgusting.

Yeah it’s always gonna cause a big shock , hopefully it’s just natural causes that he’s sadly died from but as you say we won’t know for a little while yet
 
Very sad. It sounds to me like his heart attack was imminent when he wrote those words on monday. If he'd been elsewhere and diagnosed correctly he might still be alive.

Wahl wrote on Monday that he had visited a medical clinic in Qatar after feeling unwell.

“My body finally broke down on me. Three weeks of little sleep, high stress and lots of work can do that to you,” Wahl wrote. “What had been a cold over the last 10 days turned into something more severe on the night of the USA-Netherlands game, and I could feel my upper chest take on a new level of pressure and discomfort. I didn’t have Covid (I test regularly here), but I went into the medical clinic at the main media center today, and they said I probably have bronchitis. They gave me a course of antibiotics and some heavy-duty cough syrup, and I’m already feeling a bit better just a few hours later. But still: No bueno.”
