First thing he did was blame the ref.
Pathetic and embarrassing in equal measure.
I think one of the main issues at the moment is that the new Head of Football and NWs ideas on how to play football are at completely different ends of the spectrum, their mixed views is creating a style of play that is confused and the worst of both worlds. It was probably Kieran Scott's idea to move on Morsy to get us playing more of a Norwich style of play, a woeful decision which I for one was totally against particularly considering the lack of options in this position. If these are the type of decisions that he is going to be making then he will soon become much more of a dislike figure than NW!One wonders if the players themselves are aware that things aren't working out under the management team?
How much of a say does our new head of football have in coaching hiring and firing?
You don’t know if it was Scott’s decision to sell Morsy. I can’t believe Warnock didn’t have a hand in it. And as for you last comment you are assuming a lot about his influence on how the side is set up to think he could become “a hate figure”. At the moment the focus is on the management team and rightly so.I think one of the main issues at the moment is that the new Head of Football and NWs ideas on how to play football are at completely different ends of the spectrum, their mixed views is creating a style of play that is confused and the worst of both worlds. Yes I don't know for sure but if it was then it is not a good start to his career with us. Eh? You’ve made up that the new head of football probably sold Morsy as he’s trying to impose a new style of football, then admitted you “don’t know for sure“ before stating if this is true it’s not a good start to his time at the club?Yes I don't know for sure but if it was then it is not a good start to his career with us. Not necessarily defending him but the vitriol he’s getting from some quarters is embarrassing. As I’ve said in other posts, the players aren’t totally blameless for the recent performances. You can practise tactics on the training pitch till you’re blue in the face but once over the white line they have to deliver and as professionals should be able to adapt to the opposition tactics. Agreed, Warnock needs to address the problems but surely can’t be accountable for a players inability to make a straight forward pass/cross. Sometimes we look pretty good but mostly for long periods in a game we’re less than average.Seems Neil’s defenders are surprisingly quiet. Is the penny finally dropping?
Warnock has already said that it wasn't his decision to sell Morsy and it came from up above. Warnock seems to be getting blamed for everything on this board today, the blame for our current plight isn't so black and white.Eh? I despair.
They aren’t blameless but they were working their knackers off for Warnock last season and had us pushing for a play-off place, only for the manager to say in public that it was all about next season. He essentially wrote off the season, their work, their targets. You can say we wouldn’t have reached the top six but the point is that the manager ended the season early by saying that. He gave them an out, as well as giving himself an out as well. Not necessarily defending him but the vitriol he’s getting from some quarters is embarrassing. I think that the current players available to Warnock is not a 'good squad' and to me looks vulnerable, too much in-balance at present which most managers would struggle with.Let's not pretend Morsy is some sort of saviour. He's a bang average player who slows play down too much and just about cuts it at lower Championship level. Yes, the defence lacks protection, but before nothing was coming through the midfield at all. We need someone who can tackle AND see a pass. New players haven't performed yet but we are trying to soldier on with 20th century shape & tactics. Warnock saved us from relegation but someone else needs to be given a shot at getting a song out of these players who on paper don't seem a bad squad.
“Available to Warnock”. Again you absolving Warnock for the make up of the team and suggesting he has been given a squad he doesn’t want. It Is as though people are not wanting to believe Warnock could manage a team so poorly.I think that the current players available to Warnock is not a 'good squad' and to me looks vulnerable, too much in-balance at present which most managers would struggle with.
Didnt Morsy say that not Warnock? Might be wrong but dont recall N W saying much about Morsy going. Regardless of Morsy going, we replaced with better so no great loss as he was average at bestWarnock has already said that it wasn't his decision to sell Morsy and it came from up above.
