Looks like they’ve laid all the contractors off this morning.

Anyone heard anything long term?

Project people find out later today.

Not sure on the reasoning yet. Apart from pausing the job.

Not good for the area if the Project is paused. I was on Woodsmith when Anglo American paused that.

Does seem to be taking forever. Fingers crossed for the future.

Very sad news but it was expected. It was costing a million pounds a day.
Hopefully they can restart the project and get it started again.

Has it all been a scam? A five year conversion of a forty-odd year old plant decades after similar plants have migrated to the Gulf states sounds dodgy.

Sabic HQ in Saudi. They need to release extra funding to finish it off

It's been offline since 2020 and theTIP project has been stuttering ever since. The longer they leave it the less chance off it ever starting back up.

*What are the odds of SABIC scrapping Ole 6 and selling LDPE and WEC to Ineos - along with their part of WGEP?*

Near the Wilton visitor centre. Still plenty going on at Wilton apart from sabic

That might be true but sabic take 70% of the energy from Sembcorp so the site could become unsustainable if sabic doesn’t restart because Sembcorps operating assets rely on sabics offtake off take o many services
