Linked With a surprise move to Besiktas, I expect him to move on as he’s out of contract and don’t see him signing a new deal but Besiktas would be a random one
 
Lots of past transfers like this average players to Turkish sides sadly they don’t seem to end well.
 
I don't mind Shotton, but I doubt we can carry on with his wages.

I'd only release Gestede of the main lot that are out of contract, if more agreeable wages could be found.
 
Letting them all go and a fresh start seems like a good way to go but I can't see us having much of a budget
 
We'll have the same budget for wages whoever we sign and there will plenty of available players who will cost less than poor players like Shotton.

I agree with this , he’s not a bad centre half as cover and rb as cover and I don’t mind him tbh but for the wages he will be on we could get someone to do exactly the same role in the team for a third of the wages
 
Not consistent enough as a centre back. Not good enough going forward as a right back. He's had some good games, he's also had some stinkers. Not had a great injury record either and in his 30s now.

I'll probably forget he played for us in a few years time. No real loss.

The only reason you'd keep him (and it'd have to be on massively reduced wages) is because we have a dearth of experience and a small squad. Even then he'd be a stop gap while we're in a period of transition. That's what I'm telling myself this is anyway.

I’d say that sums him up really , when he’s good he looks really good and stands out as a top performer but also when he’s bad he’s really bad . He’s not someone you would consider you knew what you were going to get prior to kick off
 
I guess we'll start next season with only Fry as a recognised first team centre half, although I suspect Moukoudi will be back and Gibson still looks to be possible. Even if this happen we may need another one, assuming Wood isn't ready.
