Rutter from Leeds to Brighton for £40m

Deadline for his release clause is midnight tonight apparently… Leeds desperately trying to persuade him to stay.

Brilliant stuff 😅

I heard it stated it was midnight last night and Brighton triggered it meaning they are the only club able to negotiate with him but there's no limit on time as the bid went I'm beforehand.
Leeds will still surely sell for £40 mil plus so don't think the timing matters.

Think they are meant to be getting that Jonathan Rowe from Norwich looks a very good prospect, great signing if they get him

I really wouldnt like to think my club were paying £40m for Rutter.
Christ.😲
Leeds paid £32m for him. They aren't even making a huge profit on him. It will give them very little FFP headroom to play with so they can't even go out and spend it all on a replacement.

I think he's a good player. Seems steep but he's only 22 and last season was his first full season of football of his career. He's highly rated and Brighton are usually pretty good at spotting talent.

3 million in add ons owed as well by selling him so only making a 5mill profit

They’ve took in about £140m ,not sure how much theyl be spending but I bet January will be busy . Looks like another season in the championship for Leeds . I bet it’s bamford last season
