On awareness, how much coverage is the debacle at Dover receiving in the press??

Quite, we've taken some alarming steps towards this. Its been proven through covid measures (some of the more extreme ones early on and not masks) that the population will follow instruction unquestioned and even applaud. So I agree that it is a distinct possibility for the future. For example, the head of Indy sage Susan Michie was helping the government with behavioural psychology during LD1, and she also happens to be a card carry communist and also sympathetic to China. Its all looking quite authoritarian.
 
Ukraine should hand them the disputed eastern provinces. They can then become the buffer zone and Ukraine can then jpin NATO.

Russian people must be as thick as mince to allow themselves to be ruled by Putin.

Well, the Eastern provinces minus the areas with large supplies of natural gas which is Putin's real reason for going in there...And he can't argue with it as he's already spun the BS that he's going in to "liberate the separatist nations"...
 
As I saw the other day on TV. The presenter posed the same question about the Russian peoples vision. The interviewee basically said 'that dress your wearing, did you make it' er no I bought it! 'So you trusted the manufacturer accept what the label says' it's exactly the same in Russia, Pootin the manufacturer. Many of the elders see it his way however, the younger generation who have more knowledge of World events know what is going in but are too well aware of the ramifications of speaking out while living in Russia.

Just as well we have at least Channel 4 to hold the govenrnent to account. That kind of independent rigour is valued by our government..................

Russia will now accept them plus Crimea and the land corridor in between I would guess

For me the problem is the adversarial systems we have in place. Surely it’s time for us to start working together?
Now I am thinking of utopia 😅

What utter nonsense.

Labour tried to introduce national id systems and the Tories binned it. Labour in power didnt push back anti union and protest legislation in the criminal justiced act. Nu Labour toughened up the communications act.

We have freedom of speech and a reality is that is under pressure from left and right but the UK isnt even on the bottom rung of the ladder v Russia.
