A conspiracy theory is an attempt to explain a major event as the result of the actions of a small powerful group.

Jimmy Saville per se isn't a conspiracy theory, saying Jimmy Saville was allowed to get away with what he did as Margaret Thatcher protected him from police investigation is a conspiracy theory.

When it's easier to ignore it so that they can continue to make money?

This is all sorts: actors, footballers, comedians, musicians etc. do get away with unsavoury things because the people who can do something about it are too busy drawing up the balance sheets.
 
He's a self styled new age guru, who fits into the same bracket as David Icke.
Lots of these troofer types have became his sycophants, even though he has the number 33 and the all seeing eye emblazoned on his person.
He plays his role well.

Conspiracy theory. It first came to prominence after Warren Commission report on the Assassination of JFK. And used against people who didn’t believe the report, claiming it was a whitewash.
 
Women have come forward to make serious allegations against him. He’s then pre-emotive oh come out with a ridiculous conspiracy theory. I wonder which is more likely to be true.

For instance, Mike Tyson is generally revered and he’s a convicted rapist who’s never accepted it. He consistently appears on TV and film.

May have something to do with him being able to take your head off if you say anything to him mind.
 
The guy is a hippy lunatic who talks a good game about 25% of the time and the other 75% he is just taking pure *****

I guess some people are latching onto the 25% of decent stuff he says and making him out to be some oracle based on that
ignroing all the insane nonsense he spews out on a regular basis

It's funny how people latch onto celebrities every time they agree with them on some small point or whatever and promote them
when every joe bloggs on the street occasionally makes sense in the same way but they are never considered anything other than
him over the road or whatever
