Building up to be an excellent season. Not really missing Saracens and Exeter have a battle. Great match between Bristol and Harlequins this weekend. 2 push over tries in the dying mins to secure an unlikely comeback for the Bears.

Big news here in NZ is that Silver Lake the US investment Group which is also involved with Man City is offering NZ rugby 425 m dollars for a 15% stake in the game here. It means clubs will be able to invest in their clubs facilities and even attract some overseas stars They haven’t made a decision yet whether to accept.

Do they need overseas stars? It's a great watch as it is.

I was devastated with that one. I really thought we had done enough to win it in the last ten minutes. I think that's the thing that differentaites us from Exeter and Bristol. They can close games out and we can't. For periods of any given match I'd wager Quins are the best team in the league. For 80 minutes they really aren't. It's so frustrating! Credit to Bristol though. They are a hell of a team. Even without the Mercurial Piutau. Semi Radrada is so exciting to watch. So, well, fijiian!

Many of the All Blacks are anti. Sam Cane is very vocal against the deal. It’s the old story of money talks. The Americans would want to see overseas stars in as part of the deal no doubt.

NZR need the players Union on board and if they say no the deal will fall.

Professionalism ruined Welsh rugby. It was a huge social thing in every town but the regional system has destroyed that.

Agree. Whilst arguably it hasn’t affected the national team the clubs are not what they ised to be. To a ceratin extent the dame could be said for England. I had a friend who olayed for London Scottish and when the overseas stars started to arrive he said the atmosphere post game in the Club House dropped significantly. Rugby was a business not a social sport anymore.

The all Blacks and Silver Lake investment still rumbling on. Players standing firmly anti.

I see Saracens put 48 points on then previously unbeaten leaders in the Championship yesterday. Beginning to flex their muscles in that League.

No surprise then that Saracens are all but back to the Premiership after their demolition of Ealing in the first leg of the Championship play off final At the weekend. A bit one sided you could say.

It certainly makes the second leg superfluous. So apart from that aberration v Cornish Pirates in the very first game of the season they have won every other.

It's actually a travesty they are allowed back up. According to Premiership rules, you're not allowed in unless you have been complying with all premiership regulations for 2 years. True, the rules are there to make sure teams have premier standard grounds but still, they haven't complied with premiership wage cap rules for 2 years yet.

Looking forward to Quins - Bears this weekend, arguably the two most entertaining squads in the league. I was saying to a friend at the weekend that in comparison to the EPL, two top teams in the Gallagher Prem always produce exhilarating rugby and more often high scores (in nice conditions!). You'll very rarely see high score games involving the top 6 the Premier League.

I'm going 34-30 Bears with Quins leading 24-10 at half time, if any of both teams games are to go by this season.

Sadly I don't think it'll be that close. I agree that both teams are entertaining to watch but Brizzle have a much stronger defence. If Will Evans hadn't broken his leg it would have been a different story, like Jack Wills last year it's such a bonus to have a player that can get so many turnovers in a game. I hope I'm wrong though!

Impressive stat: Five players have averaged more than 70 yards per match for the whole season this season. All 5 are bears players. Malins, Piutau, Nualogo, Radrada and Purdy.

I fear Saturday is going to be a very long day!

Piutau fit for this one.
Sadly can’t see anything but a bears win now
I hate being right!

to be fair I don’t think Quins are playing that badly, bears can just open it up from anywhere, another try scored from inside their own 22

This is something epic! Quins being battered and 28-0 after half an hour. Last couple of minutes and it’s now 31-31 wow
