Rory Stewart would have been a much better Prime Minister than Boris Johnson but politics has become less about capability and more about personality, one of the reasons the country has over 63k excess deaths is Johnson’s incompetence.

Nah I’ll post what I like thanks. Simply pointing out Rory Stewart is a poor politician (ex politician). Would you post the same if it was a brexit supporting pro Johnson Tory. Probably wouldn’t even view it.

The biggest problem Rory Stewart had was that he appeared to be in the wrong party. He seemed to be more in line with the Lib Dems.
Ironic that Cooper has an issue with him as he spent years voting labour when his political views are clearly more sympathetic with the right of the Tory party.

I’m a bit nonplussed at the relevance of Stewart’s neckwear, or lack, and his capabilities as a politician especially when Johnson, for years, has deliberately cultivated the dishevelled look and worn odd running attire as a way of attracting publicity and staying in the newspapers.

Why would it be ironic especially as you say he fits the Lib Dem mould. Lib Dem’s have been pathetic as a party for years and their approach recruiting any remain MP they could before the last election was a joke.

I look at that clip and then think about the current incumbent of No.10. It's deeply depressing. Johnson is a long-term, many-times proven liar. I don't agree with much of Rory the Tory's wider politics, but when compared to Johnson, especially in the current situation, I'd have him as PM in a shot.
