MFCFoundation are organising a Big Roary week from 3rd April to 9th April encouraging schools and communities to wear red for Roary on Friday 8th April. They are hoping to raise £5k over the week to help continue their vital work in the community ie., working with age uk , dementia dances, mental health projects and loneliness.

They tell us "We need the supporters help on 6th April and 9th April we will be doing a bucket collection at the games. Saturday 9th April we will be joining with Teesside hospice and sharing the funds donated. We need a message so that supporters bring cash as we all know at the moment it is a card only world."

So, please bring some cash along to the Fulham and Hull City (home) games. MFC Foundation needs your support to continue its important work in the Boro community.

April the 3rd to the 9th will be the first ever “Roary’s Big Week”. A fundraising event where we would like as many of our partner businesses, schools, community groups and football fans to join together in raising £5,000 to support the work of the foundation. Roary will be busy in the build up to the Big Week, letting people know all about the businesses who support us and the individuals and projects that will be benefiting from the money raised. We would like to ask you to support the event however you can. Here are a few ideas:

• Take part in “Wear Red for Roary” day on the 8th of April asking staff to make a small donation to wear red on the day.
• A sponsored event, maybe a cycle ride, a steps challenge or a walk to the stadium.
• A bake off or cake day, selling cakes for donations.
• A swear box to keep things clean for the day.
• Blind cards or raffles.
• An office fun day with multiple events.

We hope that the week will be a huge success on and off the pitch. With home games against Fulham on the Tuesday night and Hull on the Saturday it should be a big week for Boro and we will have lots of opportunities to showcase the support local businesses give the foundation.
If you’d like to be part of the Big week, email mandy.sousa@mfcfoundation.co.uk and let us know what you are doing, it would be great to come along to as many events as we can.
