Riverside Litter Pick Easter Sunday

Next Sunday morning there will be a big community litter pick around the Riverside Stadium and everyone is invited to come down and help give the area an Easter clean up and looking in top shape for the Boro game on Easter Monday.
Community Champions Middlesbrough will provide litter pickers, gloves and Boro red litter bags. There are even Easter eggs for children, this is very much a community and family fun event. It would be lovely to get your help.
This morning we were out cleaning up Middle Beck, Priestfields and actually the area was pretty clean. We still filled up many bags but great credit to the local community as as it was hard work finding litter.
Anyway, spread the word and meet us in the Riverside car park next Sunday (Easter Sunday) at 10am - equipment provided and there are always hot and cold drinks and chocolate biscuits afterwards. We pick for about an hour.

Just hoofing this up again today.
I know a few people have commented before on the appearance of the Riverside surrounds - this is an opportunity to help in a clean up.
We only pick litter for an hour and although I know it sounds stupid but try and make it fun. Especially with free drinks and chocolate afterwards. Yesterday we were cleaning up at Middle Beck, Priestfields, in east Middlesbrough. It has to be said the local community should be commended for the job they do in keeping the beck and its surrounds really clean and clear of litter.
