Rita Sue & Bob Too

I saw a stage performance of it in Glasgow some years back. One of the sex scenes - within the first five minutes! - lasted a verrrrrrrrry long time! There was a lot of audience shuffling in their seats.
 
I am surprised this play in on in 2024 - the school girls in the film were at secondary school, but were ones that left at the earliest opportunity usually soon after their 16th Birthday. The bloke was around 40 and worked as a senior partner at a Estates Agent. Him and his wife had an executive style house. There was quite an age difference and lifestyle difference. the Bob character employed one the girl's dad to do some building work. I think he used that link to get his daughter to babysit, and then used that to give her lifts home. All very manipulative behaviour by Bob. Back in 1987 most people thought it was a bit creepy, but not how they judge it now.
