RIP Gerry Marsden

Saw them at Stockton in 1964. I shouldn't have done - I give the money to a school mate for what would have been a ticket for my 3rd Beatles gig and he came back with one for Gerry & the Pacemakers "because the queue was shorter"
That was one of my first concerts; taken by a friend's father. RIP.

I seem to think I seen them one Christmas in Stockton in the 60's early 70's - It was St Peter's Club Christmas trip. I could be wrong.

RIP

One of my favourite groups of the 60s. I Like it and Ferry were two of the greatest songs of the decade.

A great guy too. My mom loved him and met him at a fair at the height of his fame. He took time to give her a hug and chat briefly to her. She never forgot it to the day she passed away.

He was indeed on at what I believe was the Globe in Stockton ,in the late 60's early 70's, I think a Panto with Rupert the Bear . I went on a Brambles Farm Social Club outing , if I remember rightly.
