RIP Diana Rigg

Every Dad and Lad’s fantasy in the 60s. “The Avengers” was never the same when she left.

I only really know her from Game of Thrones, but she played that role so well. So much sass and scheming! RIP
 
Just a wonderful english lady with an awful lot of class -- RIP fair maiden. -- loved her quote after heart surgery-- "Send the old bag down again, I'm not having her yet!"

My first recollection of her was during the Avengers -- she made a lasting impression on me.
 
In the 60's as an impressionable young boy seeing Diana Rigg in her black leather cat suit caused me some stirrings.
In fact I blame her and Wanda Ventham for me being so attracted to older women when I hit my mid to late teens.

I loved the avengers growing up. I was a bit young to see her as good looking.

I knew she was in detectorists but didn't realise she was Rachel Sterling's actual real mum. So condolences to her and her family.
 
My favourite Avengers girl - Mrs Peel = Emma Peel which they reckoned suggested M Appeal ( Man appeal)

Certainly appealed to me.

My favourite also erimus, though Joanne Lumly runs her a very close 2nd
But both still behind Jane off Randall & Hopkirk deceased

I adore Joanne Lumley but had to rule her out of The Avengers running as she was in the The New Avengers which didn't cut it for me

Nice but I just had a case of deja vu. She died 3 months ago!!
