Died yesterday natural causes. Great actor. Remember him from an early age in Quantum leap and a great supporting role in Paris, Texas.

I remember him from an earlier age appearing in Jack Nicholson's first film Pysch Out in 1968.

I've got the DVD.

His best part was playing Ben in Blue Velvet but I enjoyed Quantum Leap in my youth.

He was good in Blue Velvet. One of Lynch's films i dont get on with thogh. Same with Wild at Heart

I love both of those films. I remember reading the book that Wild at Heart was based on too. Only Lynch film that I don't get along with is Dune. But that should never have been his project in the first place. RIP Dean.

Edit: It does amuse me that I have a folder on this laptop entitled 'David Lynch's Experimental Shorts'. I'd love a pair of experimental shorts. I think we all would.

Ive never got through all of Dune. I think Ridley Scott was supposed to direct first and quit when his brother got sick. Lynch threw everything out and started again. Wild at heart and True Romance similar plots. Wild at heart may have been first but True Romance just does it better for me.

One of those actors who popped up in all sorts of TV shows, like Columbo, as a guest star and it is only looking back that you realise what a good actor he was, because he always convinced you he was the part.
