Sir Les Patterson, Australias new cultural attache for heaven

Barry, through Dame Edna and Sir Les Patterson would always have me in stitches, never a dull moment when on our TV’s, may you all rest in peace and thanks for the laughter and memories.
 
I remember weeping flood of tears, laughter and snot at one particular Dame Edna routine, "her husband" Norm was in hospital, describing the difficulty in gift giving for the hospitalised, she declared that she had his "drip stand re-chromed" I was literally gasping for air.

RIP Barry, thanks for the giggles, guffaws and chortles.
 
The inventor of Aussie rhyme slang, and much more.

I saw the Edna Everage show in San Francisco. The girl in the box office handed the tickets over saying 'She's really funny'. It was amazing how he got through to a US audience, despite being foreign and moreover, a drag act, with the local knowledge in his jokes.
