With the so called ‘Freedom Day’ announced for 19th July, I assume we all return to the Riverside as normal for the first game, as well as the usual allocations for away games eg. Fulham and Blackpool, our first 2 away games???

I would treat any easing of a restrictions with a pinch of salt. Secondary school children in Middlesbrough are now back to wearing masks in school.

just because something is said today doesn’t mean it will happen in four weeks time

Let’s not call it a day at all. It’s undignified and disrespectful to the thousands who have died
Nobody is denying the loss of many loved ones but don’t forget the sacrifices made by millions also during this pandemic, there have been many victims, the mental health tidal wave is yet to hit, so I don’t think that it is too much for people to celebrate the easing of restrictions.

Do you not find it a bit petty and pathetic? Having to call it a day at all? I thought we were better than that. Also with the pandemic still active and cases in this country skyrocketing it seems very out of place to have a “celebration”

Ignore the idiot please trying to derail yet another thread.

Yes @the_holgate_roof I cannot wait, going to the game with my mates, packed concourses, standing in the away end, singing my heart out. It actually dawned on my late last night and I got very emotionally excited - it's going to be great again ;)

I'm trying to derail nothing. Just espousing my opinion on the ridiculousness of using the phrase freedom day.

No need for the insults. This place is getting proper nasty of late. What is wrong with you?
