What we need in the team is players who can tackle and score — kind of obvious. I’m not too sure about Crooks being kept on as I’m of the opinion he’s a poor tackler and lacks speed. Granted he’s scored a few goals but he’s more of an opportunistic player and that means he’s inconsistent.
Assuming that Wilder saw the same game that we attended today I doubt he would want to keep many. Our midfield today was shambolic and even Howson wasn't a massive asset. They were out-run and out-fought. Crooks in particular was pathetic whilst McGree was weaker than dishwater. Lost every 50-50 and responsible for a goal. Jones had yet another anonymous game. Worrying that CW thinks Tav is a left wing back.
We don't possess a single ball winning midfielder. Leadbitter was probably the last one and even when his legs had about gone he was better than this crew.

Tav is there to allow more attacks from the left as Bola not getting forward enough, also allows McGree and Crooks to play.
Today was a shocker considering what was at stake, but sadly not unexpected by me, Wilders post match interview had us saying did he really say that in the car. Monday / Tuesday will be interesting. I think Crooks for his 11 goals but 15 cards and a red could be one of the "not listening" players he referred to.
Am I misunderstanding that is your retained list?Not any of the ONLY three players to show any semblance of interest in the result today? I'm referring to Watmore, Howson and Dijksteel.

He really hasn't, what's been bang average is the 10 around him. He's had nothing to play with. No movement, no intensity and at times he's been a one man band. Probably why he's looked a little leggy

Players who arent on the retained list, can only be out of the out of contract players which are Howson, Bamba, Taylor and Peltier, along with Lea-Siliki, Sporar, Connolly and Balogun all returning to their clubs.
Whether he transfer lists other players is another thing, but theyll all still be on the retained list.

I’m still too angry at the terrible letting down of the fans to think about it at the moment by Chris wilder lack of tactics and the spineless players who wilder hangs out to dry far too often for and has never ever taken responsibility for dodgy tactics
