Restart - Will teams be bothered?

Also are teams staying over or travelling to and from in the day of the game?
I know Swansea are on the fringes of the play offs but how motivated are they going to be?

Are they setting off at 04:30 to make the 12:30 KO time?

it’s football Jim, but not as we know it.

Interesting question as hotels are still shut.

"know Swansea are on the fringes of the play offs but how motivated are they going to be?"
Strange statement!
Yeah, I wrote half of that before checking the league table. But the teams who would traditionally be described as “on the beach” their performances could be a bit more lacklustre. Or not. Only one way to find out

Of course Swansea will be up for it. If they are not questions would be asked by their supporters. They are 3 points away from a play off spot. That as they say is "in the mix". Travelling up there on the day I suspect will be tough. I am assuming hotels will not be available.

Edit : I see you have retracted the comment Lee

Yes, I’m nothing but an honest idiot

Swansea are a bad example but I agree with the OP. I can see some teams who have nothing to play for treating some of these games like friendlies. There'll be players having half an eye on next season, so some will be playing out of their skins to put themselves in shop windows while others will be trying to avoid getting injured.

Actually looking at the Table I can see only 4 teams currently that could be bracketed as Teams with nothing to play for

Sheff Wed, Reading, QPR and Birmingham City. We play 3 of the 4. Of course it could be more than that. By the time we play Millwall Bristol City and Cardiff they may also be in that position

What about teams who play a weakened team against a team fighting to stay in the league, this will just highlight the poor decision just to get football started at any cost, I can see teams complaining all day long about the injustice of it all

Just my opinion mind

Sheff Wed and Reading will be wary about potential points deductions, so will want to get points on the board, just in case.

I think the EFL will bottle it on punishing them though.

Swansea will be up for it but there will be a section of teams who have absolutely nothing to play for who may be less than 100per cent committed.

Aren't these accusations flung at players at anytime of any season?!

At the latter stage of any season that does happen and its luck of the dice if you happen to play a team like that. Man City 2008 last game of the season?
