Rep Ireland v England

Will goodwill have broken out in the ranks of the neanderthals within the England supporter base or is it going to be carnage in the Nations League?

Unfortunately I think vast amounts of Guinness, Harp and marching power will win the day and Dublin will not be a happy place.

I have been in Dublin for an England match - tickets courtesy of Bernie.
A fantastic day and night, with me appearing on Irish TV with a load of lads from Cork and my classic "Well it was a game of two halves quote" to rapturous post match applause"

I don't understand why anybody would travel there intent on causing trouble.
Sad people if they do.

We've played them very recently at Wembley, there were absolutely no issues that I can remember.

A bit of abuse for Declan Rice and Jack Grealish from the Irish fans was the worst of it.

Yeah but playing in Dublin is a different matter.
The travelling Irish fans are not the problem, unfortunately the travelling English fans potentially are.

My sons went over to Portugal to watch the finals and had a good time away from the English fans.

They said one afternoon they were sat at a bar next to a river/canal and on the other side were bars full of English fans going through their three song repertoire. The inevitable trouble started and the police baton charged the English fans with the only escape was going into the river/canal. A quick swim took the fight out of them.

Both said it was funny watching them jump off the river bank into the river from the comfort of a bar on the opposite bank. 🤣 🤣 🤣

Trying to understand the Neanderthals who chant "10 German Bombers" followed by "No Surrender to the IRA" at every England away game since I can remember is a waste of energy
I remember some Boro ar$eholes singing the exact same in a bar in Stuttgart, that was until a policeman built like a brick outhouse turned up.He was about 6’7 and just looked menacing, they soon piped down but it was totally embarrassing.

Travelling round Germany during the 2006 World Cup I had a great time. The worst days were when England was playing. I am an England fan and have a huge attachment during tournaments, but the fans are, on the whole (and it’s not 100%), a national embarrassment (even when they’re not fighting).

I use to work with someone who did the same. Spent quite a bit of time going around Germany for that World Cup. He least enjoyed the England games. The fans worse than the football (which was also bad).

Also, to any fans chanting crap idiot songs at England games. WW2 end nearly 80 years ago, England didn’t win the war alone, and England is not exceptional as a nation. Stop being fools.

It's the reason I've deliberately avoided England games/cities/dates for our trip to Germany this Summer. Think the closest I'll be is about 350 miles away :)

Spent loads of time with other fanbases at various tournaments and they're generally sound , Iceland in Marseilles being a personal highlight.

Hopefully meet up with a few Dutch guys for their match in Berlin (y)

I’ve travelled all over watching England cricket, but never been to a single England footy match. Just doesn’t appeal.

I've had wonderful times in Munich, Rome, Lisbon, Marseilles, Toulouse, Dublin watching England.
I'm older now and wouldn't go for free.
