Residents across Middlesbrough are reminded that household green waste collections remain suspended.
The pause is due to pandemic-related staffing pressures within Middlesbrough Council's Waste Services team, with collections due to resume on Tuesday, August 31.
A Middlesbrough Council spokesman said: "The pandemic has had a significant on staffing levels, so for the time being we're prioritising our weekly refuse collection and fortnightly kerbside recycling services.
"The situation is under constant review and we plan to resume green waste collections at the end of this month.
"In the meantime we're grateful to all our residents for their patience and understanding, and apologise for any inconvenience."
