Rehearsal space for bands locally?

Just wondering if anyone can recommend anywhere for a local band to rehearse.

We usually rehearse either at Backstreet Studio in Redcar or Lorne Street in Boro but both are fully booked on the days we can do this week.

I’ve been living in Coatham for nearly 8 years, and I’ve always thought I could heard bands rehearsing late on, but just assumed it was The Cleveland’s live music.

Never knew there was a studio so close to me but it makes sense now, I’m only about a minute or two walk away from it 😅

Next time we rehearse there I'll let you know and you can open your window and we'll serenade you.

If you have transport try Pigpen out up the A19 a couple of miles north of Wolviston.
Is Lorne Street open again, then?

Band name is Feever. We've only just got back together after having a break.

We will probably play at NE Volume soon but we're always looking out for venues to play. Know of anywhere in Redcar?
No I don’t. Let me know when you have your next gig though because I’d come along.

My last lot started off in Lorne Street, then we went to the Teesside School of Music on the industrial estate. That was much better, and I think cheaper (I rarely paid for the session). Well equipped, PA in rooms, etc.

I know a bunch of lads that have just put a rehearsal room/studio together (in Marske I think). I'm not sure if it's open to the public yet but I can find out.

Are you an originals band?

The Halt on Station Road had its first originals night since Covid last Thursday and it went reasonably well. Hopefully it'll become a regular thing again.

For covers bands they have live music on Fri/ Sat/ Sun although Friday is usually acoustic sets.

I run an open mic every Tuesday from 9pm (ish) if you want to pop in and meet other local musicians.

Depending on your style/genre both the Cleveland and O'Gradys have live music on regularly.

We're an originals band.

The one in Marske could be a decent alternative for us when we aren't able to book into Backstreet.

Yeah, we've been to the open mic night once before but didn't bring our guitars. We'll try and get to one in the near future. Would definitely be up for playing there as a band.

Does anyone know if backstreet studio in Redcar is still open? I need to book somewhere in that area for later in the month but can't get a response from them.
@Scrote have your friends opened their rehearsal rooms to the public?
