I was looking forward to hearing Dermot Gallagher’s take on Saturday. Guess what? Not a single mention, just total focus on meaningless premiership incidents. Disappointing.
Ah, didn’t know that, thanks. No surprise though. They stopped covering the Championship incidents years ago, sadly.
Same here so should have known better. I put it on specifically for ref watchYou get very little coverage on anything that's not PL any more on SSN. It used to be on in the background all day in our house now I'll be lucky to watch 10 minutes a week.

asred, 10 minutes more than me, I coukdnt watch SSN on muteYou get very little coverage on anything that's not PL any more on SSN. It used to be on in the background all day in our house now I'll be lucky to watch 10 minutes a week.
I didn't even know there was a program called ref watch.
Sounds appalling and the kind of scrutiny that has ultimately led to VAR.
Or is it sympathetic and balanced, highlighting all the good decisions?
Alongside idiots like Sue Smith and Warnock, their obsession with the likes of Clinton Morrison and Gabby Agbonlahor, two people who can barely string a coherent sentence together, is mind boggling. Tim Sherwood being booked out every week for Soccer Saturday is ridiculous too. He genuinely hasn't got a clue.Same
It's littered with rubbish I'm not interested in now. They have idiots on it now like Sue Smith and Stephen Warnock reviewing the weekends action. It's all become very amateurish.
Other than Soccer Special (assuming the 'Boro game isn't a 3pm ko), then I barely watch SSN and yet it used to be on as background noise all the time in our house previously.
SSN has massively gone down hill. Even when it's Transfer Deadline Day, their channel is shockingly bad when promoting breaking news now.
I dare say when Jeff Stelling finally retires (or god forbid is binned), then the chances of SSN being on in our household will be very low.
Be careful what you say about the "Black" Morrison & Agbonlahor or the PC Racist Police will be after you. What I also find particularly interesting is that since the Black Deputy Editor of the Mirror Darren Lewis took over the slot formerly reserved for Sunday Supplement, he has had a black guest sat opposite him every Sunday Morning, whilst Lewis raises the issue of Racism in the game almost every week without fail, where is the Racial Equality in the Guest List Mr Lewis? I actually enjoy watching talented Black presenters such as Alex Scott, Micah Richards, Ian Wright, David James, Dion Dublin & Jimmy Floyd. However talentless people like Morrison & the ex female footballer Lianne Sanderson getting a gig because they are black is like racism in reverse!Alongside idiots like Sue Smith and Warnock, their obsession with the likes of Clinton Morrison and Gabby Agbonlahor, two people who can barely string a coherent sentence together, is mind boggling. Tim Sherwood being booked out every week for Soccer Saturday is ridiculous too. He genuinely hasn't got a clue.
Over the last few months they've also developed a thing for bringing on random idiots from podcasts, who have such irrelevant opinions yet a huge sense of self importance as they've got a few followers.
Very, very little meaningful opinions/insight.
It’s more of a segment within the Monday morning program really. I have found it to be fair and balanced. Dermot Gallagher, whilst sometimes trying too hard not to be critical of refs (and especially VAR), will normally give an honest and insightful view. I have certainly heard him stoutly defend decisions and specifically highlight those he feels were a very difficult call but where the ref got it right. Similarly, he will say when he thinks the ref got it wrong, and why. On the other hand, you do have to tune-out the chatter from Stephen Warnock...I didn't even know there was a program called ref watch.
