Redcar MP Jacob Young says 'Tory cuts' haircut tweet a joke

Not sure how anyone could go in the Vault and claim it's a pub.
It's a restaurant with a bar. Just like most other restaurants.

More to the point, I'm not offended by his joke but I think it's in poor taste. He's young though, and there are far worse things going on than a bit of bad banter.

shock horror restaurant has a bar in it to serve drinks. You must have a funny idea of what a pub is if that’s a pub.

Of course you have never been or seen it if you had you’d realise how daft trying to class it a pub would be. It’s typical know it all attitude of some on here. As Gaz stated it’s a restaurant (that has a bar in it to serve drinks shock horror)

Not offensive in the slightest. Just another example of people who didn’t get their own way in the election/referendum using any little they can to pretend to be offended.

And didn’t Turley ignore her constituents and decide she knew best on Brexit? That’s what did for her, regardless of her genuinely caring about Redcar and being a decent MP and person.

It calls itself a "Bar and Restaurant". You can call it what you like, but unless you call it a Bar and Restaurant, you're wrong. When I was last there, we were the only ones eating. And it was almost full.

Having a bar does not make it a pub.

From their own website: "The Vault Restaurant & Bar is a traditional North East Restaurant located in Marske By The Sea".
It is not a pub.

Last time I went, it was to capacity and every single table was full of people eating their meals. Some tables, like mine, were drinking.

You can be really condescending Cooper and it’s no wonder you get the stick you do on here sometimes. The subject matter is also trivial. Whether the Vault is a bar or a restaurant or both is really quite immaterial to the point that was being made - and which you were, it seems, keen to deflect from.

The matter was you insisted it was a pub that served food which it clearly isn’t. You neither said bar or restaurant. I didn’t deflect from at all I addressed it before you came along insisting the vault was a pub

To be fair he didn't "insist " it was a pub, he remarked it was to which you took great umbrage and keen to point out that Toby hadn't frequented two bars at all. He had in fact gone selflessly and with great personal sense of public duty to a pub, a restaurant ( with a bar) and his hairdressers ( even though of course he had been instructed to do so 😁).
 
Think you’ll find he said it was a pub twice and you came along in between insisting it was a pub.

It’s the sheer arrogance of thinking you are right when clearly it’s not a pub neither of you had ever even seen it and rightly told by more than just me it’s a restaurant.

Now you and Zoo either drink in the strangest pubs known to man or you just totally wrong.

There’s also a lot more important things to be worried about then crying over a post on Twitter. Like I addressed majority of comments I seen weren’t offended and thought it was a waste of time. If you are offended by thst it’s because you want to be.
 
I don't suppose he got his hair cut in the pub, in one of those combined bar and hairdresser places?
 
No Ogradys is a pub, that doesn’t cut hair but it serves food. Maybe using reverse logic it’s actually not a pub but a restaurant that serves beer and shows sports 🤔
