Remember going to that game. Was just off the back of a big win on the road at Hull too. 4-2 I think?

One of my favourite away trips. Sky's gerrymandering of the fixtures meant we had to play on Monday teatime so that Cardiff could win and go into second place setting up Norwich's game at Portsmouth later that evening as the one which would decide the second promotion place and Sky cameras would be there to record the event. Sky's plans were wrecked by Boro in 20 minutes, leaving them with a meaningless fixture to televise later on. It was great.
 
Hadn't Craig Bellamy gone to Cardiff, his home town club, to take them to the PL?

Bellamy was a strange one complete chunt on the pitch (described by Bobby Robson as "the gobbiest footballer I've ever met"); all round good fellow in his charity efforts off it.

Spot on. Watched it on Sky and the build up was a complete Cardiff w@nkfest. We were billed as lambs to the slaughter. It was absolutely delightful when we were 3 up after 20 minutes I could hardly believe what was happening. Glum faces all round in the studio at half and full-time. 😁
