Red Faction - Ticket Price Statement

You don’t know my financial, work, life situation. If I can’t afford something that isn’t essential I don’t do it however painful that may be.
Don’t you see that as a sad thing? Why have you allowed yourself to be brainwashed by the people who control financial systems and now stand against those who are also missing out on their pride and joy in life ? Whilst others hoard billions 😬 my wish is that everyone who wants to go watch the boro gets to experience how great it can be

Or we just don’t have the fanbase to sell out every week.
Possibly not, but we would certainly bring in more fans if prices were cheaper, fans who would spend more in the ground, in the local area and be more likely to stick with the club when things get tough

One of the highest prices in the poorest areas, not exactly difficult to see why that pricing structure doesn’t work

Steve Gibson, Bausor and co have brainwashed me? I think you’re confusing politics with going to the football.

There was 26,000 last week, this is the most expensive it’s ever been and we are having some of the biggest crowds.

That can’t happen.
The argument is against prices going higher not getting everybody there. That will never be possible.
It is a luxury so I suppose it could get more expensive. I’d like to experience a week on Roman abramovichs yacht but can’t afford to. That’s life.
Wages and fees need to come down

We’ve had empty seats most weeks since 1998, I’m not sure what that proves?
It proves that charging what we charge in one of the poorest areas of the country where thousands are living in poverty isn't going to get us a 34 thousand sell out every week. If those empty seats are filled then thats not just more people buying tickets. That's more people spending money in the concourse, in the retail store. It's all revenue for the club. Not only that it's your future generation of supporters which the club need long term. How many of our current season ticket holders' love affair with Boro started by getting a 'squeeze' at Ayresome Park. A lot I would imagine. Obviously those days are gone but offers to get kids to games should be high on the clubs agenda.

The club needs to get away from this ' only season ticket holders matter ' attitude. You're probably right about the cost if you get a season ticket but for me work commitments mean i would miss a lot of games so it's not worth forking out all that money in one go. I go when I can but when I have to pay almost £35 when the season ticket holder next to me is paying £19? Now there's talk of it going up even more. How can this be justified? That's a huge difference. There will come a point where people just think, no I'm not paying that!
Good point. Given the working demographic of Teesside, would it be possible to sell a ‘carnet’ of , say 15 matches, across the season that fans can make. It might stretch the functionality the ticketing application, but worth a look?

I’d love nothing more than to pay £100 for my season ticket or £10 walk up prices but that won’t keep us competitive, I love what I’m watching at the minute and we all need to contribute.

That’s still 6/7k empty seats during the best run of form in years. We would sell out every game we have left if it was anywhere near affordable

Absolutely not. Maybe bringing back the pride card could be an option.

We just choose to support these systems so it doesn’t happen 🙃 Roman can stick his yacht anyway

The cheapest season tickets are over £500 each so more than £1k for 2 adults and that’s before travel, parking, food, drink. How many working class families will realistically be able to afford that at the moment?

Going to football matches is a luxury. Like going to a nice restaurant, or the cinema. Or on holiday.

Go to 2 or 3 matches a season as a treat. Save up for it. Get the bus there. Take your own food and drink.

It’s tricky as the issue of finances in football is much bigger than MFC.

Everything else aside, I’d much sooner we shrunk the transfer budget by a few hundred thousand and freeze or lower the prices.

I don’t buy that we’d have many more in the stadium if prices were much different.

But our competitors don’t charge the same price so why do we?

If a restaurant/cinema/flights/hotels had huge numbers of empty seats every time they opened would they not review their pricing to get more people in?
