Really like the look of Burgzorg

I think a lot of people have seen and read what Huddersfield fans have said about him and maybe subconsciously have been looking for his negative traits rather than the positive things he showed.

I thought he did alright. He is very much a player who's going to be a match winner to infuriating within seconds. Yet fans of every club he's played at say the same..

I don't really go by the 'it can be coached out of him'. He's 26 and not a 20 year old. I think what you see is what you get. I doubt that will change.

He hit the post yesterday. Also had Jones squared it to him against Swansea he could easily have 3 in 3. Fine margins.

That's possible, I suppose. He did drift in from the left constantly though yesterday and it did unbalance us.

We were trying to play through the middle too often, didn't spread play and when we did cross they weren't very good.

Lath was a bit ineffective because of lack of space and this wasn't helped by Burgzorg congesting things further.

On the flip side he did come closest to scoring

He annoyed me within 5 mins of coming on yesterday. A ball over the top and he's bursting down the left. A simple 5 yard pass to McGree. He takes 5 touches then shanks a simple pass.

Then mins later bursting down the middle from a Dieng kick. Runs with his head down and ends up surrounded. No idea who or what's around him.

Those 5mins pretty much encapsulates everything we've heard about him. He has pace and statute. Yet end product is infuriating.

Just an odd signing. Just don't seem to fit our recent model. Also he's not a kid or a punt like Silvera. The best part of 2.5mil and he's 26. I'm not sure how you change a 26 year old.

That said no doubt score a worldie one week😂

Have felt uncomfortable with this signing since it was announced but wanted to give it a chance. Still think we can utilise him well but prospects are diminishing with every appearance.

Think we are doing him no favours using him as a striker. Making him look even worse than he is.

Not a player you can trust to either get a goal when chasing a game or keep the shape when holding on, like yesterday. Will probably look decent if we ever get to be three up and he comes on!

He’s no.10 and would show is worth if played in that position instead of up front
Thats utterly ridiculous a no10 who has no awareness of teammates or shown any inclination to do anything but run down blind alleys and shoot. I cant see him playing perfect through balls to latte from any position

When this thread was started he was playing as the no10 and plenty of members saw something in him. I’m not saying he’s a started but when he comes on play him there and we could well see a far better player than playing him up front.

His best attribute is carrying the ball. Ultimately you want to see him collecting the ball from deep in his own half and getting us up the pitch. Problem is we tend to dominate possession, so there isn't much room in our team for that type of player unless you're bringing him off the bench to counter. He isn't a striker or a 10. I think Scott has turned out a dud on this one personally.

He does carry the ball well, just struggles to produce anything at the end of it.
I think he could potentially be better as a no10 than a no9.

End product as been crap so far though.
