Reacher: Season 2

It's excellent, watched the 3 episodes this morning. Only problem is it's on Amazon and i don't want anything to do with them normally, it was only someone visiting me who left their prime video account on my computer so I can access it any time.
I read his books about 15 years ago, but I didn't read his ones which included his team so it was nice to get a bit of a understanding of them.

I really liked the first series, so this'll be good

If you want a camp version, check out Obliterated. Ridiculous fun

Not seen the TV programme yet but I have watched the two movies. I'm a bit of a Reacher nerd despite not watching the Amazon series. I think I've read the first seventeen books up to now. I'm coming to the point where Lee Child 'subcontracted' writing the books to his brother Andrew so a bit curious as to whether I will notice any difference in writing style.

Great books, if a little samy. Season 1 was good and I am sure I will enjoy season 2. The movies were awful, Lee Child cashed his check and sold the character up the swanny.

I read all the books, but struggled when his brother got involved. Don't think I finished the last one.

I’ve read most of the Reacher books, watched all the Tom Cruise films & watched the first season of Reacher on Amazon. I enjoyed them all, although I get why the purists disliked Tom Cruise’s portrayal of him.
I’m enjoying the second series immensely and the opening scenes alone were pure Jack Reacher brilliance.
It’s not intellectually challenging but it’ll certainly entertain for 45 minutes at a time, and that is good enough for me.

I’ve only seen the 2 cruise films, never read any of the books, I feel like I’d be disappointed by the series as I loved the films and cruise plays the role well.

If you have access to Prime, give it a go. I think you'll like it Ritchson is a much better fit for the Reacher role than Cruise. He's probably too young and pretty if you've read the books but the action sequences are better for him being believable as a complete animal in hand to hand combat.

That was the problem, books were so descriptive about his height, shovel size hands and the Tom Cruise was cast. He just took the name and didn't play the role.

The TV series was much better in terms of the character, size, strength and I realised when watching it that Reacher is autistic. It was quite obvious but didn't realise until I saw the series. It is corny but I enjoyed it much more than the films.

Great fun. If you like classic "tough guy" action films and TV it will be right up your street. Watch season one first if you haven't already.

Loved the Sarah Connor line from Robert Patrick. :ROFLMAO:
That Sarah COnnor line was brilliant!

I do like the series too. I think its clever for them to have the sotrylines with Neagly in them. She's not in many of the books but her relationship with Reacher, and how she pretty much seems to be the only person he respects/consider his equal come over good on TV

The first film was very good. The second was still decent but not nearly as good. You just have to ignore the source material as if it’s any other Tom Cruise film. Ritchson is a monster though and far more believable when taking on multiple enemies at once.
