I always thought that part of the divorce settlement was that she would get half his future earns for a set amount of time. With this in mind he came to us because we offered him the lowest salary? Don't know if this is true but I kind of hope it is.

Yeah I heard the same to be fair. Was this exact same rumour flying all over the place at the time.
 
Always reminds of Robbie Mustoe in the way that arsenal spent millions on their midfield and still Ray found a place in the team, just like Robbie did during our Robbo revolution
