Untapped potential or wasted talent?

I’m strangely excited about this one. From everything you read he is an exceptionally gifted player.
 
I’m with you. We’ve nothing to lose with where we are. Hopefully Boro will be the club where it finally happens for him. Though, I’m sure other clubs have had that same thought. I’d like to see him further up the field, a number ten type role. Let the lad express himself.
 
He has great skills.At some point he will realise he needs to have a great attitude. When that happens he will be a cracking player for someone,
Lets hope its us.
 
There’s been a lot of managers try to tap into his talent, get his head focused and keep him out of trouble.

I am not sure he is the type of person I would welcome into my family with open arms and would worry if he was married to my daughter - if I had one. Hopefully, that is all in the past and he’s learnt from his mistakes.
 
Could be a cracking one, looked quality for West Ham and QPR. Lack of proper football for a little while may have hampered him and he's been unlucky with how well Sheff Utd have done and so they haven't changed their team much.

He's not particularly had off field issues for a while, he had a few issues with integration at Lazio. If it wasn't for Big Sam's dodgy agent dealings at West Ham and Morrison refusing to sack his agent and go with Sam's he would never have been bombed out there originally.
 
Last chance saloon for the umpteenth time.

Not excited in the slightest, guilty of witness intimidation, fined for homophobic slurs, half a dozen good games in his career, bombed out of every club.

Not as bad as the Marlon King signing, but would prefer we didn't sign anyone with criminal convictions and a bad attitude.
 
Well, it's official, he's signed. Fingers crossed for me. Can he have a little spell of effectiveness to tie us over til Roberts is fit? I hope so and not at the cost of team spirit.
 
Undoubted ability, are we the club to click mentally? If we are, we could have one hell of a player on our hands, if not, thank you very much, see you later, and he moves on to his 11th club in 10 years in 4 months time.
 
Quality last shown in 2014. I dont want to **** on his parade so here’s hoping. No expectation.
 
My manager at work is a Sheffield utd fan. I asked his thoughts about him this morning. He said he's a great player....but has a right attitude problem. Can see Leo sorting that out!

Yes he has had a chequered past but there are many examples of wrong uns who put their difficulties behind them and grow up into proper good players - Woodgate himself is one of them. Troy Deeney springs to mind too.

He's only on loan too - bad attitude and he's shown the door!
 
Big Sam said he was the biggest waste of talent he had seen . Woody maybe had a chat with him telling him he’s been there and it may click
