Ramsey left & Mcgree right ; Why?

Ramsey is right footed and playing on the left & Mcgree is left footed and playing on the right ; I don’t know why Carrick is doing this because it destroys any width in games where we need width to stretch a team and in get around the back.
It doesn’t make sense to me and I think is part of the problem we have at present against the better teams.
Before Carrick brought in Ramsey he played Mcgree left and forss on the right which gave us a chance to be expansive when we needed to be
Am I missing something ?

Nobody want to comment on this ?
I think it restricts us tactically because opposing players know mcgree or Ramsey will cut inside so teams are closing down that space and we have looked to me a little one dimensional against the better teams….

McGree never has played in a “traditional” left hand side role in the midfield / front 3. He tends to float across the whole of the front line, often creating room for Giles to play much more advanced.

The same can be said for many players / positions throughout our whole team. The interchange and movement throughout the side has been very good and brought us a lot of success.

So to a certain extent I’m not certain the positions / sides matter that much, as they’ll often swap.

A big part of being able to execute that style often relies on maintaining possession and suffocating teams. We found that challenging against a good Burnley side and they were also very good out of possession and made it hard for us to break them down.

We dominated a lot of the game against Huddersfield. It was a one sided first half then we had a mental start to the second half, gifted them an equaliser then they got momentum and were very clinical.

I think people just need to calm it a little. Friday was disappointing but we weren’t a million miles away. Huddersfield was just a disastrous 15 minutes in the second half. We dominated a lot of that game.

There seems to be a huge clamour of people queuing up to tell Carrick what he’s doing wrong. People are entitled to opinions of course but I’m trusting Carrick and is team to get us back on track.
