Rail Seating at QPR…

I’ve always been a fan of the idea but this was the first time I’ve had a chance to utilise them.

I thought it was excellent and worked fantastically well. Comfortable and still engaged in the game. Easy seat mechanism if you wanted to sit and felt far safer than shin-height sharp, plastic seat backs.

Hopefully we see the option spread to other grounds. It doesn’t look an expensive proposition.

Also available for our fans at our next away game at Birmingham on Tuesday,

There were only about 130 of them in the entire away end.
We ended up in them randomly.
I wouldn't say they were fantastic.
Nice to be able to lean on the rail in front I suppose (bit like the old terrace barriers).
Sitting down wasn't a great option anyway given the lack of legroom.
As an aside we were in block y3 and there were loads of empty seats to our left, despite the upper tier being sold out on the ticket site.
Not sure why, hospitality seats not taken up perhaps?

I was a fan of them until I found that it actually reduces the capacity?

Is this true?

They had them in the away end at Chelsea (lower tier). Thought it worked quite well there.

In certain grounds they might reduce very slightly if they need to accommodate slightly bigger seats and more row space. But only slightly. The again it could slightly increase in some cases.
They are far more expensive than just replacing seating with seating. But there are several different types available.

I was also in Y3 and plenty of room to move. I know a few Boro fans where stranded due to one of the Grand centrals getting cancelled.
