The source of the racist abuse never seems to be mentioned in these articles or threads. Which I think misses a trick as this is a global problem.

Chuba Akpom’s last season was from a random local betting on our games in Indonesia. Earlier abuses from the same account had gone unpunished. I have no idea about this one (Onana),

As much as it is tempting to dress this purely as a problem in UK society, if the abuse comes from somewhere else in the world, what can we do to stop it, other than publicise it?

Is taking the knee going to stop online racists in Indonesia for example?
