R number 1.1 to 1.2 across the UK

Yes, it is the only test reported on every day.

If you haven't had an antigen test, you have never been tested to see if you have covid-19.

Well I definitely have.

But you obviously know me better than I know me.

Also, my mother had antigen test via work... One month positive next month negative.

You wouldn't expect someone to be positive in two tests a month apart unless they have been reinfected a second time.

What a load of rubbish.

What people are sick of is mixed messages, blurred lines and unfair lockdowns (London tier 2 anyone).

When you can't see the logic you lose faith in the reasoning.

People have been locked down for a year now and are exhausted with it all.

They are saying it's mutated into what is believed to be a worse version just in time for 2021, do you really believe people are going to just continue sitting in their homes doing nothing.

I've not met a single person who has had flu this year... Have you? Bare in mind that flu would show a positive on the covid tests.
How is it a load of rubbish are you actually saying the general public have been blameless in all this, yes the government could & should have dealt with it better, would any other party have done any better, hopefully we'll never have to find out but I've lost count of the selfish people who don't give two hoots about their fellow man, the Liverpool fans, the Leeds fans, I suppose that didn't happen, bottom line there are people out there which no matter what figures you put infront of them will do as they please, as foggy rightly said

Erimus, I just don't agree with apportioning blame on the public. If you do that, you, by definition, take some of the blame away from the government. Every death that didn't have to happen is at the door of number 10.

The tory mixed and confusing message has been, in my opinion, a deliberate tactic to allow the shift of blame to the general public. Time and time again various cabinet ministers have talked about common sense. It's well thought out and contrived as a tactic.

The vast majority of people have followed the government guidelines, the virus is spreading because the tier system doesn't work, unless you are trying to move areas from tier 1 through 3.
