Queuing...

Outside Primark in Boro already FFS

People need to give their heads a wobble.
I guess it's because they sell affordable clothes and don't have an online presence. If you shop there you haven't been able to buy clothes for a long time

Regardless of their lack of online availability, why can't people show just a little bit of restraint?
Behaviour like this is more likely to cause restrictions to be reimposed than if we all took a relaxed attitude to reopening and didn't try to cram months worth of shopping and drinking into a few days.
I'm sure a mass exodus of people into shopping centres, retail parks and other premises won't cause tempers to flare or pose any issues to the poor staff having to cope with demand while trying to keep their premises Covid safe.

If that’s what makes them happy then good luck to them, the same applies to everyone going to the pub! It’s a day to celebrate, millions of people will be earning an income again and sleeping properly. Enjoy yourselves everyone 👍
As long as it's safe. I'm happy as a clam that the gyms are open. I do worry though that some people take that as meaning all restrictions are over. I'm not sure the message that social distancing and mask wearing and hygiene is MORE important now we are opening up. Not less. I think we need to stress this more as people may not get it

It's the Gazette headlines - with a bloke in the queue would you believe!!

I can imagine the scenario - 'Hey Jimmy - Primark are open in the morning, and it's too early for me, you know I'm not good on morning's. Nip down for me and get that Pink cardigan I was looking at last year. It's on the rack near the desk'
'If I'm up when you get back, I'll have the kettle on. Oh, and by the way, we need some milk' Love You! Zzzzzzzzzzz!

FFS wondered how long it would take to see a thread on this today.

Let people go out and enjoy some much needed freedom without having a whinge will you.

Telling people to give their heads a wobble because they've decided to go to the shops the morning they re-open, come on.

Are you just as raging at the people who had the cheek to go to a gym this morning for a workout?

It's nothing on the Liverpool Primark. It looks like they are waiting for FA Cup final tickets😂

I would say roughly 100 women and a couple of random blokes (god knows what they are doing). I can't believe people need a £1 thong at 0700.

That said ive also seen people having a full English with a pint at 0800 and 'worse' women getting a spray tan and nails done at midnight. The mind boggles.

Queues for the barbers too, the seats re full inside and there's blokes lining up outside in Station Road, Billingham. 4 shops in 100 yard stretch all very busy.

I think we have found out who the guy at the front was Gents ;)

Did you get the faux silk knickers you wanted :)

No problem with queuing as long as people are sensible about it. Of course, as a baldy, I think barbers should be the last thing to reopen....

I've yet to meet anyone who thinks this is the right time to ease lockdown. That's not to say they agree with each other; about half have been acting like lockdown is over since easing was announced; the other half think it's recklessly early and will stay in their bunkers for another 2 or 3 weeks.

I take the attitude that Covid will never go away completely through lockdown. It would still be here if we'd stayed in lockdown all of last SUmmer.

No doubt whatsoever that it will spike in a month or so. It's clearly going to happen but simply nothing you can do.

We need to get back to 'normality' for jobs / mental health and the economy. We simply have to keep trying. You could lockdown until August and it would spike once opened up again.

Hopefully the vaccine will slow down the rise. Although the majority of people on the TV this morning aren't old enough to have it (myself included). Then again I have zero interest going into any shop other than a supermarket for the foreseeable future.

I didn't have that problem. Barbers I went to are only doing appointments only. They are booked out every day this week.

Feeling fresh now. A few hours to play around with the guitar at home before actual WORK WORK this evening. Can't bloody wait.

This is my song for today.

I guess the question will be, is it a spike or is it a little bump?

The kids went back to school with surprisingly little reaction in the figures.

Ultimately vaccination is the key to this.

Also worth remembering people now have access to home testing so cases will increase inline with this. Hospitalisations and deaths have to be the key indicators now
